Who We Are
Rob Rienstra

Originally from New Jersey, Rob graduated from Rutgers University and then Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia in 1986. He has planted a church in southern New Jersey, revitalized a church in Massachusetts, and served the Lord at Trinity since 1999.
Besides his work at Trinity, he is active in the Metro-Atlanta Presbytery, serving on the Shepherding Committee and as the Pastor-at-Large for the Presbytery (pastoring pastors). He also serves on the boards of Newton County Pregnancy Resource Center and Find Hope Counseling Ministry for East Metro-Atlanta.
Rob loves to read, watch college basketball, play golf, and be a grandfather. He has been married to Lynne since 1981. They have two adult (married) children and became grandparents in 2021.
Matt Abel
Assistant Pastor
Born, raised, baptized and admitted to the Lord’s Table in Tennessee, Matt attended Princeton University. While there, he earned a varsity letter in rowing and won two national championships. After earning a history degree, he earned his
Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary.
Following seminary, Matt was Head Coach of Plant High School Rowing Association in Tampa, FL and served as vice-president of the Florida Scholastic Rowing Association. Much more importantly, Matt met his wife Janinne in Tampa. They have three children: an adult daughter (Ayden) and two young sons (William and
James).
Matt ministered at Holy Trinity Presbyterian Church in Tampa before being called to Trinity. He enjoys sitting outside in the morning talking with Janinne while she sips tea and he has his second (or third) cup of coffee.
